Working is mandatory but what is more crucial is to take proper care of every organ in our body since many of them are irreparable. Handling ourselves carelessly with the excuse of working is the most heinous crime that we do to ourselves. Some of these physical disorders can cause us a lot of trouble in money, time and human resources.
Diseases like myopia are incurable until operations, and costly treatments and people with vast and thick glasses do go through a lot of inconspicuous troubles that you and I barely understand. Also too much load to eyes can cause partial or total blindness which is very very gruesome to human life. These are the precautions you must take for your eyes while working late night and specially in dark.
1. Work in the Right Light
The eyes must mandatorily and necessarily be kept far far away from strain and pressure. Working in dark causes a lot of that and can result to myopia or short-sightedness. Computers and phones must have comfortable ambient kind of light mode that should be used at nights like the night mode. Some phones have the feature of eye protection that adjusts the screen light to the comfort of eyes. Blue shield lenses can also redeem your sensitive eyes from harmful digital radiations emanating from the screen and can alleviate the eye strain symptoms.
2. Take a Break and Blink
Some of the students or workers get so engrossed in their work that they forget to blink that can cause fatigue to your eyes. This is harmful especially for people with dry eyes. It is recommended to blink and take scheduled breaks from working so that there can be less exhaustion to eyes. Looking directly and continuously while studying or working over gadgets can cause too much undue pressure to your eyes.
3. Exercise Your Eyes Daily
It’s not for nothing that exercise is the most beneficial feeding that we can do to our organs. Moving your eyes from one side to other can relax your muscles. Looking upwards time to time and holding that position is another method of reviving the freshness to your eyes. Exercising eyes can prove a lot beneficial as advised by yoga. This should be done daily for at least five to ten minutes.
But, however healthy your eyes seem or are one must have regular, timely check up because often a lot of eye diseases are difficult to know early since they have no clear symptoms. Nobody must take chances with something as sensitive as eyes. Vision is the most beautiful gift we have. Save your vision because a lot of people do not even have it
